Etsy is the global marketplace for unique and creative goods. It’s home to a universe of special, extraordinary items, from unique handcrafted pieces to vintage treasures. I was hired by Etsy back in 2010 as it’s first official graphic designer. Over the next 4 years, I helped found and build the Global Brand Design Studio - from just me in Brooklyn, to dozens of people across multiple offices - and develop the Etsy visual identity. A learned a ton during my tenure and it was thrilling to take this small startup without a logo or brand color to a publicly traded corporation. Etsy was awarded the National Design Award in 2014.
Etsy Goods
A variety of items designed between 2010 and 2014. Etsy’s mission, values, and employee community are expressed in creative execution: laser cut conference room signs (that follow a naming system of combining band names with food), thank you cards, stickers, buttons, team t-shirts and badges, sustainably produced credit card readers and other goods sewn and silkscreened by Etsy Staff.
Holiday 2012
Holiday 2012 saw a lot of firsts for Etsy from out first television spots to our first fully realized, in-person retail experience filled with one-of-a-kind gifts, workshops, live music and a lecture series.
